I'm currently completing my Master's at Hyper Island, a creative business schools that empowers individuals to adapt and gain the skills they need to drive innovation and change.
The modules covered include: Design thinking, user research, business transformation, managing teams and project and experience design.
The course gets students ready for the real world with a learn by doing attitude, allowing us to work on live briefs and present to clients. The knowledge gained and application of principles to the real world is unrivalled. There is a keen focus on developing soft skills such as collaboration, teamwork, feedback, facilitation and leadership skills.

For two years I challenged myself by working as a freelance designer in Melbourne. I worked with a range of companies, both creative design studios and in-house corporate brands.
This wide breath of exposure to different environments and teams taught me a great deal of skills. I learned how to quickly adapt to new brands and their consumers, how to integrate smoothly into several new working environments, collaborate with a wide range of teams, enabling me to quickly build rapport within them and improved my confidence a great deal.
My role varied in different teams, however I was always accountable for delivery, self-managing time whilst working on multiple projects.

My role was to contribute to the creative thinking for a range of projects including the undergraduate and postgraduate campaigns.
This included developing and presenting creative design concepts to team members and clients, art directing photography, producing internal and external communications, and liaising with clients and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time.

My creative approach—no matter the medium—is to understand people, and how and why they do what they do. I enjoy the design process, researching to really get to grips with the challenge alongside a multidisciplinary team, to create meaningful interactions.
